Version 01
These rules apply to all tournaments hosted by iPLAY.lk, including both online and offline events. Game-specific rules and formats may be provided separately per tournament.
๐ 1. Eligibility
1.1 Tournament Types
๐ฉ Single-Country Tournaments
Only residents or citizens of the specified country (e.g., Sri Lanka-only, India-only, etc.) may participate.

Tournament officials may request proof of residency or citizenship at any time.

Acceptable proof includes:
- National ID card (NIC, Aadhaar, NID, etc.)
- Passport
- Utility bill or student ID (for underage players)
๐ Open/Global Tournaments
- Open to players from any country.
- Mixed-nationality teams are allowed unless stated otherwise.
1.2 Game Account Requirements
- Players must register using their main game account.
- All accounts must be in good standing (no bans, suspensions, or EULA violations).
1.3 Age Requirement
- Minimum age: 16 years or the game publisherโs official age requirement
- Players under 18 may be required to submit a parental/guardian consent form

All players and teams must register via the official iPLAY.lk portal or verified external links (e.g., Google Forms, Toornament, Battlefy)
๐ Name Policy (Player & Team Names)
All player and team names must be:

Respectful and suitable for public use (commentary, stream, social media)
- โ Free of hate speech, offensive content, impersonation, or inappropriate terms
- ๐ฃ๏ธ Pronounceable in English, Sinhala, or Tamil for casting and promotion
iPLAY reserves the right to:
- Request name changes before approval
- Hide or replace names from public assets
- Disqualify players or teams for repeated violations
๐ Registration Workflow in iPLAY
๐งโ๐คโ๐ง Team-Based Tournaments
Step 1: Team Creation
- Captain submits team name, clan, logo, and personal details
- Adds players via email and assigns them as:
- Main Player(s)
- Substitute(s) (optional)
Step 2: Player Confirmation
- Players receive email invitations and must:
- Accept the invite
- Complete their personal profile (full name, game ID, etc.)
- Confirm their assigned role
Step 3: Team Approval
- Once all players complete registration, the system marks the team as โApproved.โ
- Until then, the team remains in โPendingโ status and is not eligible

๐ง Solo Tournaments
- Players register individually with full name, email, phone, and game ID
- The system adapts the form to match solo formats
๐ง 3. Code of Conduct
All participants must:

Compete with integrity, respect, and fairness
- โ Avoid harassment, toxicity, racism, hate speech, and impersonation
- โ
Obey referees, staff, and admins at all times
๐ซ Prohibited Conduct
- Cheating, hacking, unauthorized third-party software
- Match-fixing, collusion, bribery
- Stream-sniping, intel sharing during live matches
- Smurfing, account sharing
Penalties include:
- Match forfeiture
- Temporary/permanent bans
- Disqualification
- Ineligibility for prizes
โ๏ธ 4. Match Rules
- All matches must use the latest official version of the game
- Players must be ready 20 minutes before the scheduled match time
- A 15-minute grace period applies; late players/teams will forfeit via walkover
๐ฅ๏ธ LAN Setup (for Onsite Tournaments)
- Setup time: 15 minutes after seating
- Includes: login, settings, audio check, gear check
- Delays due to personal gear/setup are not accepted
โ ๏ธ Late setups may lead to:
- Reduced warmup time
- Forced forfeits at organizer’s discretion
๐ Substitutes
- Substitutions allowed only between matches
- All substitutes must be pre-registered
- After registration closes, email substitution requests to hello@iplay.lk before the teamโs first match
๐ Rescheduling Matches
- Reschedule requests must go through:

- Requests should be submitted at least 24 hours in advance

๐ฏ 5. Tournament Format & Scoring
Match formats, scoring, and tiebreakers are defined per tournament.
Details will be provided via:
- The official tournament announcement
- Event rule addendum or match-day brief
- Discord or iPLAY.lk tournament pages
๐ Captains/players must review formats before the tournament starts
๐ ๏ธ 6. Technical Rules

Allowed Equipment
๐ป PC / Console Tournaments
- Keyboard & Mouse
- Game Controllers (wired/wireless)
- Headphones (mandatory for LAN)
- Optional: own mousepad, gear (if allowed per event)
๐ฑ Mobile Tournaments
- Smartphones or tablets (no emulators)
- Allowed: headphones, chargers, cooling fans, permitted Bluetooth triggers or gamepads
โ Not Allowed (unless approved)
- Adapters (e.g., XIM, Titan, Cronus)
- Macros, external scripts, key mappers
- Jailbroken/rooted devices
- External battery packs (LAN only unless approved)
๐ ๏ธ Setup Responsibility
Players are responsible for:
- Bringing their own legal peripherals
- Ensuring devices are functional and charged
- Logging into the game before match time
๐ Organizers may inspect gear before matches
Violation may result in disqualification
๐ฅ 7. Streaming & Media Rights
๐ก POV Streaming
- Players may stream their gameplay with a 2โ3 minute delay (if permitted)
- Must disable:
- Public chat (in-game, Twitch, Discord)
- Chat pop-ups or overlays
โ ๏ธ Violations may result in takedowns or disqualification
๐ฌ Media Rights
By joining an iPLAY event, all participants agree that iPLAY retains full rights to:
- Use names, logos, gameplay, and likeness
- Publish match footage, highlight clips, interviews, and promotional material
iPLAY may publish content across:
- YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, and more
๐ก๏ธ Branding & Content Usage
- Official content (logos, overlays, media) may not be published or reused without iPLAYโs approval
- Community content must:
- Credit โOrganized by iPLAYโ
- Follow the eventโs branding guidelines
Unauthorized use may lead to content removal or event bans
โ๏ธ 8. Disputes & Decisions
๐ Submitting a Dispute
- Must be submitted within 2 hours after match ends
- Must be formally emailed to ๐ง hello@iplay.lk
- Can also be verbally reported to a referee, but email is mandatory
๐งโโ๏ธ Who Can Submit
- Team Captains
- Team Managers
- Registered solo players
๐ Evidence Required
- Screenshots
- Replays / video clips
- Chat logs
- In-game match reports or IDs
๐ Investigations & Response
- If requested by admins, both teams must provide further materials within 12 hours
- Failure to cooperate may lead to:
- Disqualification
- Temporary or permanent bans
๐ Admin decisions are final unless new, verified evidence is submitted in time
๐ฐ 9. Prizes & Distribution
๐ Distribution
- Team events: Paid to the Team Captain or Manager
- Solo events: Paid directly to the Player
Captains/Managers are responsible for the fair distribution to their team

- Valid NIC or Passport
- Bank details / Wallet information
- Completed prize claim form (if required)
โณ Payout Timeline
Prizes may take up to 90 working days to process
Delays may occur due to:
- Incomplete or invalid information
- Bank/payment system processing
- Sponsor payment delays
โ Failure to submit required documents may result in forfeited prizes

Official updates and notifications will be made through:

- ๐ฌ Discord server (mandatory for captains)
- ๐ฑ WhatsApp or email backups
Captains must ensure their teams stay informed.
๐ก๏ธ 11. Admin Rights & Rule Amendments
iPLAY reserves the right to:
- Modify or amend rules with prior notice
- Enforce penalties or rulings in the interest of fairness
- Interpret rules and make final decisions in all disputes
