Cosmic Clash – Marvel Rivals Sri Lanka Tournament Rules

1. Eligibility
- Open only to Sri Lankan citizens.
- Must provide NIC or Passport on request.
- Minimum age: 16 years.
- Must use your own Marvel Rivals account in good standing.
2. Team Composition
- 6 main players + up to 2 substitutes.
- Minimum 5 players required to start a match.
- Platforms: PC or Console (cross‑play supported).
- Each player uses one platform per match.
3. Communication
- Team Captains must join the official Discord/WhatsApp group (invites provided).
- All players must remain in their team’s Discord VC during matches.
- Captains coordinate schedules, report scores, and liaise with admins.
4. Tournament Format & Map Draft
4.1 Bracket Structure
- Double‑Elimination:
- Winners Bracket → 1st loss drops to Losers Bracket
- Losers Bracket → 2nd loss = elimination
- Bracket size = next power of two ≥ registered teams
- Seeding: random draw; byes assigned randomly
4.2 Series Length
- Early Rounds (to Quarterfinals): Best‑of‑3
- Semis & Finals: Best‑of‑5
4.3 Map Pools
- Domination (3): Royal Palace, Hell’s Heaven, Birnin T’Challa
- Convergence (4): Central Park, Hall of Djalia, Symbiotic Surface, Shin‑Shibuya
- Convoy (3): Yggdrasill Path, Spider‑Islands, Midtown

- Win Condition: first to 2 wins (Bo3) or 3 wins (Bo5)
- No map repeats.
4.5 Hero Ban & Lock Process
All matches feature a captain-led ban/lock draft. The full sequence (up to 10 actions) is:
- Side A bans 1 hero
- Side B bans 1 hero
- Side B locks in 1 hero
- Side A locks in 1 hero
- Side A bans 1 hero
- Side B bans 1 hero
- Side B locks in 1 hero
- Side A locks in 1 hero
- Side A bans 1 hero
- Side B bans 1 hero
- Locked heroes cannot be banned subsequently.
- Any phase not acted upon before the countdown ends is auto‑skipped.
- After completion, up to 6 heroes are banned; remaining heroes open for pick.
- Organizer will not intervene in mis‑bans, mis‑locks, or skips caused by timeouts—teams bear responsibility.
First‑Ban Determination
- Bo1 matches: random draw decides which side bans first.
- Bo3+ matches:
- Match 1: random first‑ban draw
- Subsequent matches: previous match winner bans first
Ban Leader Selection
For each draft, a “ban leader” is chosen in this order:
- Clash Faction’s Captain
- Clash Faction’s Coach
- Player in first slot in the prep lobby
- Random among remaining players
- If the designated ban leader disconnects, the system randomly assigns another current player.
- If the original ban leader reconnects, the new leader retains responsibility for the remainder of that draft.
5. Game Mode & Lobby Settings
- Custom lobbies created and managed by admins.
- Admins may spectate for oversight/streaming.

6. Pause Rules
- Only for genuine disconnects or game‑breaking issues.
- 5 minutes max per team, total per match.
- Captain requests via Discord or in‑lobby chat.
- Match resumes automatically after 5 minutes.
- Abuse → warnings, map loss, or disqualification.
7. Core Game Modes
- Domination – Control 2 points to win.
- Convoy – Escort or defend a payload.
- Convergence – Capture then escort payload.
Mode tied to map; see pools under 4.3.
8. Match Conduct
- Check‑in 20 minutes before match time.
- 15‑minute grace period → walkover if absent.
- Substitutes only between games.
9. Equipment & Technical Requirements
- Allowed: PC (mouse/keyboard/controller), Console (controller).
- Prohibited: emulators, macros, scripts, converters.
- Players ensure stable internet, updated game, and working gear.
- No rematches for player‑side tech failures.
10. Streaming & Media Rights
- POV streaming with 2‑3 min delay, if permitted.
- Disable public chat overlays.
- Players grant iPLAY/Ascendium rights to use gameplay, audio, and team identity for content/promos.
- Official branding/assets require approval.
11. Disputes & Rulings
- Captains submit disputes within 2 hours of match end to hello@iplay.lk.
- Include screenshots, replays, logs, etc.
- If more info is requested, teams have 12 hours to comply.
- Admin decisions are final, unless new verifiable evidence emerges.
12. Conduct & Fair Play
- Prohibited: cheating, scripting, sniping, harassment, hate speech, match‑fixing, bug exploits.
- Penalties: match loss, disqualification, and/or ban from iPLAY events.
13. Agreement
By registering for Cosmic Clash, players agree to follow these rules and any admin rulings. Organizers may amend rules for fairness and integrity.
