Organized by: AIESEC in University of Peradeniya
In Partnership with: Banana Kingdom Discord Community & Iplay.lk
The ARENA Valorant 5v5 Tournament is an amateur-focused competitive esports event organized by AIESEC in University of Peradeniya. As a globally recognized youth-led organization, AIESEC is committed to leadership development and creating meaningful community experiences.
This tournament reflects that vision by providing a structured, fair, and inclusive platform for new and emerging players. With the support of the Banana Kingdom Discord Community and Iplay.lk, ARENA is designed to deliver a professional tournament experience while maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment for beginners entering the esports scene.
The tournament will follow a single-elimination structure. All matches leading up to the semifinals will be played as Best of One (BO1).
The Semifinals and Grand Finals will be conducted as Best of Three (BO3) series to ensure competitive balance in the final stages.
A 10-minute interval will be provided between matches in BO3 series. Matches may begin earlier than scheduled if both teams are present, verified, and approved by referees.
Each team must consist of five (5) starting players. Teams may also register up to two (2) substitute players and one (1) coach.
To maintain fairness and protect the experience of beginner-level participants, the maximum allowed rank for all players is Platinum 3. Any player found exceeding this rank, or attempting to bypass restrictions through alternate accounts, will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.
All players must compete using legitimate accounts and follow strict anti-smurfing regulations.
Any account deemed suspicious, including unusual performance patterns or inconsistencies, will be reviewed by referees. If smurfing is detected at any stage, the entire team will be immediately disqualified.
All matches will be played using standard Valorant competitive tournament settings. The official competitive map pool will be used along with a structured pick and ban system conducted under referee supervision.
Server selection will be mutually agreed upon by team leaders between Singapore and Mumbai servers. If no agreement is reached, the default server will be Singapore. All BO3 matches will be played exclusively on the Singapore server.
All schedules, brackets, and updates will be published and maintained through Iplay.lk, the official scheduling and web support partner. Teams are responsible for staying updated via this platform.
All teams must join the official Discord server at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled match time for verification.
Failure to appear within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time may result in a walkover victory awarded to the opposing team.
All official communication will take place through the tournament’s Discord server. Participation is mandatory for all players.
This tournament is designed to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for new players. Any form of toxic behavior, harassment, or unsportsmanlike conduct is strictly prohibited.
Teams will receive up to two official warnings from referees. Continued violations after warnings will result in team disqualification.
Once a match has started, technical pauses will not be permitted.
If a player encounters technical issues, the team must either continue with the remaining players or substitute the affected player using a registered substitute or coach (if eligible).
Timeouts will follow standard competitive Valorant rules and durations. Teams may call timeouts at their discretion.
Coaches are only permitted to communicate with players during these timeout periods.
Each match will be supervised by tournament officials to ensure fairness and compliance with rules.
At least one observer and two officials will be present during matches. Officials may join team voice channels when necessary for monitoring and verification.
Matches may be streamed by the organizers. To prevent unfair advantages such as ghosting or stream sniping, all streams will include a 1–2 minute delay.
The use of cheats, third-party software, or any form of unfair advantage is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
Exploiting in-game bugs or unintended mechanics is also strictly prohibited and will lead to disqualification without warning.
Teams must use appropriate and respectful names for their team, players, and logos. Sexual, offensive, or disrespectful names are strictly prohibited.
If both teams are present, verified, and approved by referees, matches may begin earlier than the scheduled time and must be completed accordingly.
All decisions made by tournament referees and organizers are final and binding. The organizing committee reserves the right to modify or update rules when necessary.
The ARENA Valorant Tournament is more than a competition—it is a community-driven initiative aimed at supporting new players and growing the esports ecosystem.
Players are encouraged to compete with integrity, respect others, and most importantly, enjoy the game.
